Course Description

The Recurrent Designated Mechanic Examiner training is for appointed DME's to maintain designation requirements. Course topics include:
• The Delegation Program
• Applicant Eligibility
• Accepting Applications
• Preparing for, Conducting and Evaluating Oral and Practical Tests
• Issuing a Temporary Airman Certificate
• and Managing Records

Special Notice

August RDME Students: On June 25th, DRS will decommission, and users will begin using DMS to register for courses on June 26th. HOWEVER, for students scheduled for seminars/offerings during the months of June, July, and August 2025, your course will STILL be held through DRS. Once you receive your certificate of completed training you will still send to your Managing Specialist. After that, you will transition to using DMS to register, enroll and take training during your next training cycle due date.

The welcome letter and course materials will be accessible in DRS two weeks prior to the class date. The registration fee must be paid at the time of enrollment.
